This sweet and spicy drink is very classy and made with Oprah Chai, her middle eastern spice tea. You can purchase Oprah Chai at the Galleria Mall or Memorial City Mall. It's sold at TEAVANA. I personally had never gone to Teavana, let alone buy anything from there until I bought her tea. It's delicious and warm: I'm pretty sure you can get the rum and vodka from Specs.

OPRAH'S FAVORITE CHRISTMAS COCKTAIL

•  8 cups of boiling water
• 1/4 cup Oprah Chai tea leaves
• 1/2 cup Captain Morgan Original spiced rum
• 1/2 cup Smirnoff vanilla flavored vodka
• 2 cups condensed milk

DIRECTIONS:

1. Bring 8 cups of water to a boil. Place tea leaves and boiling water. Turn down and let steep for 10 minutes.
2. Pour tea into a large pot. Use a metal strainer to catch the loose tea leaves. 
3. Stir in rum and vodka.
4. Let simmer and cook on very low for 15 minutes.
5. Add condensed milk and serve warm!

CRANBERRY ORANGE BUTTER SHEET CAKE: If you going over other folx house for thanksgiving, impress them by bringing this delicious November dessert.

1 Box Butter Cake  Mix

1/3 Cup oil
2 Tablespoons of frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
3 Eggs
16 oz Can of Whole Cranberry Sauce
16 oz Container of Cream Cheese Frosting

Directions: 

1. Preheat oven to 350. 

2. Mix first 5 ingredients in a large mixing bowl. The beat  with a whisk or use an electric mixer until batter is smooth.

3. Pour batter in a  greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes.

4. Let cake cool to room temperature then ice with cream cheese frosting.

It's Park Time!

Mustard and Pink

The summer heat in Texas was something I definitely had to get use to. This kind of weather makes me think of sizzling style and electrifying colors. Pink is always hot.
