MEANING OF MARDI GRAS:

Purple - Justice
Green - Faith
Gold - Power

Mardi Gras season is a great reason for me to try some southern cuisine, specifically, Jambalaya...The BEST way make it this year is with Ayesha Curry's stock pot from JC Pennys or Target...I can't wait to try this recipe here:

I don't know much about Mardi Gras, only what I've been able to research on the internet. But there seems to be so much heightened revelry during this time, that a Christian can find themselves totally and completely in the flesh. So, in order to get back in the Spirit in preparation for Resurrection Sunday, don't neglect to spend time reading the Bible during Lent. (Readings are Monday -Saturday starting on Ash Wednesday)
